music

Just got home from a pub in Melton where I sang 4 sets of covers. Singing covers is so different to singing originals. For one, the cash s a lot better! Also, its a different crowd you sing to. Still, people are people and I love em all. Had a rehearsal for the launch prior to the gig. We rehearsed 2 new songs. Secret Self, and My Love. Watc out for them at the album launch this Thursday at the Evelyn gig. Its gonna be a pearler! Cant wait to get the ew album in my hand, get back on te road and start doing The Darlow Show full time again. Had enough of doing covers for now...

Tradgedy

The whole Tsunami disaster has really rocked me like the rest of the world I guess. To see so many people have their lives destroyed is just almost unimaginable. It prompts so many questions. "Why does God let this happen" or "How can there be a God who lets this happen" Not sure why God lets it happen. I guess the best way to find out would be to ask him. It also makes me think about other things. As in it has been amazing to see the response of the world and specifically Australians and I have been stunned at peoples generosity. I can't help but think though that if we all were this generous on a full time basis, how much would we make a massive dent into poverty in 3rd world countries? How much would me make a dent into research for disease? You get the idea. I'm not knocking people or their generosity. On the contrary, I am seeing now what we can do as a global community if we really want to.
